Meatloaf Swedish Style Recipe
MEAT LOAF SWEDISH STYLE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Morgan Estate in Austin, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground round
  • 1/2 cup herbed stuffing finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream with 1 teaspoon chopped chives stirred in

Directions
  1. Mix thoroughly beef, egg, herb stuffing, nutmeg and 1/3 cup soup.
  2. Shape firmly into loaf and place in shallow baking pan then bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  3. Blend remaining soup and sour cream then heat stirring occasionally then serve over loaf.
