Bratwurst With Curry Sauce

BRATWURST WITH CURRY SAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Krieger Estate in Wylie, Texas in 1997.
Ingredients
- 8 bratwurst shopping list
- 1/2 plain yogurt shopping list
- 1/2 lemon juice and grated rind shopping list
- 1 white onion finely chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger shopping list
- 1 teaspoon curry powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mint shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 teaspoon corn flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Prick bratwurst all over with a fork and lay in a long shallow dish.
- Mix all ingredients together expect corn flour and milk then pour over sausages.
- Leave in a cool place to marinate for at least 2 hours then remove bratwurst from marinade.
- Spoon marinade into a pan then mix in corn flour and milk and add to pan.
- Bring to a boil stirring constantly and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile grill sausages for 3 minutes on each side then serve sauce over sausages.
