Bratwurst With Curry Sauce Recipe
BRATWURST WITH CURRY SAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Krieger Estate in Wylie, Texas in 1997.

Ingredients
  • 8 bratwurst
  • 1/2 plain yogurt
  • 1/2 lemon juice and grated rind
  • 1 white onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mint
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 1/4 cup milk

Directions
  1. Prick bratwurst all over with a fork and lay in a long shallow dish.
  2. Mix all ingredients together expect corn flour and milk then pour over sausages.
  3. Leave in a cool place to marinate for at least 2 hours then remove bratwurst from marinade.
  4. Spoon marinade into a pan then mix in corn flour and milk and add to pan.
  5. Bring to a boil stirring constantly and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile grill sausages for 3 minutes on each side then serve sauce over sausages.
