How to make it

  • Cook or steam green beans till crisp tender
  • Drain beans and plunge into salted ice water and drain again
  • Cook bacon till crisp, remove and drain on toweling.
  • Reserve 1 Tbs of pan drippings.
  • Stir in sugar and vinegar and cook 5 mins, stirring to disslove sugar
  • Return beans and bacon back to skillet.
  • Cook another 2 minutres until well heated
