Whuebel And ChefMeows Marinated Brussel Sprouts

- 1/3 cup salad oil shopping list
- 2 tablespons brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 large onion thinly sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup white wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic crushed shopping list
- 1/2 lemon sliced and squeezed OR 3 tablespoons chopped dill pickle shopping list
- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts trimmed and cut in half shopping list
- 3 tablespoons chopped dill pickle shopping list
How to make it
- Combine wine, vinegar, sugar and garlic in heavy sauce pan and bring to boil then add sprouts.
- Reduce heat then over and simmer 10 minutes.
- Transfer sprouts and liquid to serving bowl.
- Add lemon and lemon squeezings or dill pickle - use either dill pickles or lemon but not both.
- Put in refrigerator overnight to allow flavors to blend and be absorbed.
- Serve at room temperature.
