Pork Chops With Caramelized Onions And Peppers Recipe
PORK CHOPS WITH CARAMELIZED ONIONS AND PEPPERS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Victor Estate in Allen, Texas in 1981.

Ingredients
  • 2 boneless pork chops
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic pepper
  • 1 medium white onion sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 7 ounce jar roasted sweet red peppers drained and cut into strips
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

Directions
  1. Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat then brush chops lightly with oil and generously sprinkle both sides of chops with garlic pepper.
  2. Cook chops for 6 minutes turning occasionally until evenly browned on both sides.
  3. Remove to a serving platter and keep warm.
  4. Add onion, sugar and garlic to skillet then cook and stir over medium high heat until onion is lightly browned.
  5. Stir in roasted peppers and vinegar then heat through.
  6. Serve onion mixture over chops.
