Grilled Peaches And Ice Cream

- 12 large fresh peaches shopping list
- 2 sticks unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 2 ounces peach schnapps shopping list
- 6 ounces coarsely chopped pecan halves shopping list
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream shopping list
How to make it
- Slice peaches in half and remove stone then heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add all butter and when it stops bubbling and water is evaporated add sugar and cinnamon.
- Heat until sugar forms a slurry then remove from heat and keep warm with lid on.
- Set peaches onto sheet pan cut side up and using a pastry brush coat flesh with butter mixture.
- Take them to the grill and place cut side down over medium hot fire.
- Grill until grill marks appear and peaches begin to soften.
- Reheat skillet over medium heat.
- When mixture just begins to bubble remove from heat and deglaze pan with schnapps.
- When peaches have solid grill marks flip over and grill about 1 minute on round side.
- Remove from grill and put four peach halves in bowl and spoon butter mixture over them.
- Put two scoops of ice cream into each bowl and sprinkle with pecans.
