This is a helpful tip for those who want a delicious bacon flavor without the grease, fat, and expense! I know it sounds ridiculous, but trust me- it works!

Ingredients
  • 6 Shitake Mushrooms, sliced.
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Lightly douse the mushrooms in the olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and toss to mix.
  4. Roast in oven for approximately 30 minutes or until crispy. NOTE. Smaller pieces will crisp more quickly!
  5. Let cool and use on eggs, salads, pasta, anywhere you use bacon! ENJOY!
