Mushroom Steak

- 1 lb. hamburger meat, lean shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt shopping list
- 1 3oz. can sliced mushrooms, not drained shopping list
- 4 portobello mushroom caps with the stem hollowed out shopping list
- enough slices of whit cheese to cover the caps. shopping list
How to make it
- In skillet cook meat and onion seasoned with salts until meat is lightly browned.
- Reduce heat to simmer
- Pour on liquid from mushroom can and place fresh portobello right side up over the simmering meat.
- Loosly cover and simmer 10 minutes.
- Prepare a glass baking dish by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
- Remove large mushroom caps carefully from hot skillet and place in the backing dish, right side down.
- Mix canned mushrooms into meat mixture and spoon into mushroom caps.
- Cover each mushroom with white cheese sliced 1/4 inch thick.
- Place in oven (325 degrees) until cheese melts and browns slightly.
- Serve with steak knives for cutting the mushroom steak.
- Enjoy!
