Ingredients
  • 1 lb. hamburger meat, lean
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 3oz. can sliced mushrooms, not drained
  • 4 portobello mushroom caps with the stem hollowed out
  • enough slices of whit cheese to cover the caps.

Directions
  1. In skillet cook meat and onion seasoned with salts until meat is lightly browned.
  2. Reduce heat to simmer
  3. Pour on liquid from mushroom can and place fresh portobello right side up over the simmering meat.
  4. Loosly cover and simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Prepare a glass baking dish by spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Remove large mushroom caps carefully from hot skillet and place in the backing dish, right side down.
  7. Mix canned mushrooms into meat mixture and spoon into mushroom caps.
  8. Cover each mushroom with white cheese sliced 1/4 inch thick.
  9. Place in oven (325 degrees) until cheese melts and browns slightly.
  10. Serve with steak knives for cutting the mushroom steak.
  11. Enjoy!
