My mom's recipe for wilted lettuce- it is yummy.

Ingredients
  • 5-6 bacon strips crumbled
  • 2 hard boiled eggs sliced
  • green onions to taste sliced
  • 1 head of lettuce torn--we use mixed greens
  • May add tomatoes, mushrooms, radishes, etc.
  • Dressing:
  • 1/4 C. vinegar
  • 2 T. bacon fat
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1/4 t. dry mustard

Directions
  1. Prepare the salad and then pour the dressing over salad just before serving.
  2. Warm the dressing in the microwave prior to adding to the lettuce greens.
