How to make it

  • Two slabs of toast for each serving.
  • place unbuttered toast on plate (buttering will make soggy)
  • empty can-o-peas in sauce pan and bring to boil
  • (you will have to add a bit of water so it will handle the high temp)
  • in a small rubbermaid or tupperware container, shake up a quarter cup of white flour and a half cup of milk until a smooth consistancy is present.
  • just as the peas begin to boil, add the flour/milk mixture and stir vigorously so it doesnt stick to the pan.
  • now spread your favorite cheese spread on the toast and top with shredded old nip chaddar.
  • place a good helping of sliced ham or smoked pork or pulled pork on the cheese.
  • now pour the hot green pea mixture over everything.
  • sprinkle with salt and pepper and eat til your hearts content!
