Grimbles For Chicken Soup Recipe
When you stir this into your favourite chicken soup, it thickens it up like stew and the lumps become tiny little chewy dumplings. My G-ma made this often to chase away the winter cold.

Ingredients
  • 1 c AP flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 extra-large egg, beaten

Directions
  1. mix flour and salt
  2. work egg into flour to form a crumbly mix (not all flour will mix in)
  3. while stirring simmering soup, sprinkle in crumbs and leftover flour
  4. cook 10 minutes.
  5. leftover soup will be thickened next day
