Smoked Maple Sausages Recipe
Any smoked sausage will do so long as it isn't a cheesy sausage (cheese and maple don't agree much). This recipe won't take you long at all and the wonderful thing is... it is affordable!

Ingredients
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 3 long smoked sausages (10-12 inches each)
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions
  1. Chop onion and slice sausages.
  2. Heat up olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Toss in sausage and onion and let sweat for a few minutes (until the onions start turning translucent).
  4. Add maple syrup and stir occasionally for the next 10 minutes.
  5. Add salt and sunflower seeds for flavor and crunch.
  6. Keep stirring.
  7. 5 minutes later, you are done! Go ahead and dig in.
