Baked Salmon Recipe

Baked Salmon Recipe
This dish was shared by the late Steve Mossbrecker. I am not a fish lover, but this method creates a lovely, moist serving a salmon. Even my children will eat it.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds FRESH Salmon Fillet
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/4 (or less) teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 9 x 13 baking pan
  • Aluminium Foil

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees fahrenheit
  2. Slice lemon and onion in thin horizontal slices.
  3. Place aluminium foil in baking pan - make sure the piece is large enough to seal your salmon in.
  4. Place salmon (skin side down) in the center of the foil.
  5. Lay the lemon and onion slices on top of the salmon.
  6. Drizzle with 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke (depends on how smoky you want it to taste).
  7. Seal the salmon in the foil...make sure there aren't any holes.
  8. Place in center of oven preheated to 300 degrees. Bake for 3 hours.
  9. Remove from oven. May be served with the lemon and onion on top or remove if you don't like the bitter taste of lemon peel.
