Wine Biscotti Dated 1957

- 2-1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 2-1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry wine shopping list
- 1/4 cup olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 then grease two large baking sheets.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- In a large bowl beat eggs and 1/2 cup of the sugar until well blended.
- Beat in 1/4 cup wine, oil and vanilla then stir in dry ingredients.
- Divide dough into 6 pieces and cut each one into 8 pieces.
- Roll each piece between your palms into 4” log and shape into ring pinching edges together.
- Place remaining 1/2 cup sugar and remaining 1/4 cup wine in two small bowls.
- Dip one side of each cookie first in wine then in sugar.
- Place cookies sugar side up 1” apart on baking sheets then bake 20 minutes.
- Transfer to wire racks to cool.
