Mississippi Mud Cake

- Cake: shopping list
- 2 sticks of butter shopping list
- 2 cups of sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup of cocoa shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 ½ tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 ½ cup of flour shopping list
- 1 ½ cup angel flake coconut shopping list
- 1 cup of chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 jar (13 oz.) of marshmallow crème shopping list
- Icing: shopping list
- 1 stick of butter shopping list
- ½ cup of cocoa shopping list
- ½ cup of Pet milk shopping list
- 1 box of powdered sugar shopping list
- vanilla extract to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Cream sugar, butter and cocoa
- Add eggs and vanilla
- Add flour and beat for 4 minutes
- Fold in nuts and coconut
- Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees in a 9" x 13" pan
- Cool 10 minutes
- Spread jar of marshmallow crème over top of cake
- Then add icing (directions on making icing below)
- Melt butter in a small sauce pan
- Add milk and cocoa and then bring to a boil (Be careful not to scorch)
- Pour in bowl with 1 box powdered sugar
- Beat well
- Add vanilla and mix thoroughly
- Spread over cake
