How to make it

  • Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler.
  • Mix together cake mix, nuts, margarine and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
  • Pat 2/3 of dough into greased and floured rectangular pan.
  • Bake in preheated 350 oven for 6 minutes then sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  • Drizzle melted caramel over chips then drop remaining dough by tablespoons over top.
  • Continue baking 20 more minutes then cool completely and cut into squares.
