Wild West Chili Dated 1956

- 2 bacon strips diced shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 2 teaspoons chili powder shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoons dried oregano shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoons cayenne pepper shopping list
- 5 drops hot pepper sauce shopping list
- 14-1/2 ounce can diced tomatoes with juice shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped celery shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped white onion shopping list
- 1 cup chopped finely carrots shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper shopping list
- 16 ounce can chili beans with juice shopping list
How to make it
- In large saucepan over medium heat brown bacon and beef then drain well.
- Add seasonings then cook and stir 5 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes, celery, onion, carrots and green pepper then bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat then cover and simmer 40 minutes then stir in beans and cook 30 minutes longer.
