Spaghetti Bolognese

- 250g beef mince (ground beef) shopping list
- 1 brown onion, chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 zucchini, grated shopping list
- 2 carrots, grated shopping list
- 100g mushrooms, diced shopping list
- 1 x 420g tin crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 1 x 420g tin tomato soup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste shopping list
- 1 teaspoon oregano shopping list
- ½ cup beef stock shopping list
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a large sauce pan. Fry onions and garlic until soft. Add mince and cook until all the meat is brown. Add carrot, zucchini and mushrooms and cook for a minute or two.
- Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour. If the sauce is getting too thick add extra water as needed.
- Serve over cooked spaghetti or use as the meat sauce for lasagna.
