How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar then add egg yolks, flour and salt and spread into square pan.
  • Spread with layer of preserves.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff then add sugar and vanilla and spread over preserves.
  • Sprinkle with nuts and bake at 350 for 30 minutes then cut into squares and serve.
