Apple Pecan Layer Cake

- ***Cake*** shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp/ salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup apple sauce shopping list
- 3/4 cup cooking oil shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- ***Frosting*** shopping list
- 1 lb.box confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter, softened shopping list
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring shopping list
- several tbsp. milk (until spreading consistency) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour cake pans.
- In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Add apple sauce and eggs.
- Blend on low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at high speed.
- Stir in pecans.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
- Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool completely.
- *** Frosting***
- Mix all ingredients together. Frost completely cooled cakes.
