Rum Butterscotch Sauce Recipe
I never knew that something so warm and sweet would taste so goood with any dessert you pick.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tspn of vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c of firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tspn of rum extract
  • 2/3 c of white corn syrup
  • 1/4 c of butter
  • 1/4 c of half-and-half

Directions
  1. In your medium heavy saucepan mix everything but the rum and vanilla.
  2. Your going to want to bring this to a boil stirring frequently.
  3. Then turn the heat down and allow to cook for 20 minutes.
  4. Then remove form heat and add your rum and vanilla.

Ohhhhhh, I can't wait! You find butterscotch offered as a topping for ice cream so seldom now. Everything is caramel and despite what my friends say, it is NOT the same thing! :o)
