Glazed Sweet Potatoes With Orange Syrup

GLAZED SWEET POTATOES WITH ORANGE SYRUP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the McLean Estate in Irving, Texas in 1982.
Ingredients
- 4 large sweet potatoes cooked and sliced shopping list
- 2 large oranges peeled and sliced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated orange rind shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch shopping list
- 2 tablespoons melted butter shopping list
How to make it
- Place alternate layers of sweet potatoes and oranges in greased baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients and pour over sweet potatoes and oranges.
- Bake at 300 for 1 hour basting with syrup several times during baking.
