How to make it

  • heat bacon in soup pot on med/high heat for 5 mins.
  • add onion and carrots to soften.
  • when bacon fat starts to golden add stock, lentils and chicken.
  • leave to simmer for 10min, do not stir.
  • sift the scum with spoon if need be then allow to cool before blending.
  • bring back to the heat, add salt and pepper to taste.
