15 minute Apple Sauce
From keeperrox 16 years agoIngredients
- 6 large apples, peeled, cored, and quartered (a variety works well) shopping list
- 3 tbsp apple juice, apple cider, or orange juice (or water in a pinch) shopping list
- 3 tbsp sugar (more or less to taste, depending on the sweetness of the apples) shopping list
How to make it
- In a large sauce pan, over medium to medium-high heat, simmer apples and juice for 15 minutes, covered (or until apples easily give with fork).
- Sprinkle with 1.5 tbsp sugar, and mash with potato masher or large fork, until sauce reaches desired consistency (I like mine very chunky).
- Taste and adjust sugar to your liking.
- Allow to cool 10 minutes before serving warm, or completely before refrigerating.

This is so simple and easy to cut down depending on how many apples you have.
