Hot Steak Swiss Melt with Sriracha Mayonnaise
From popkiss 14 years agoIngredients
- 1 small steak or cube steak (whatever you feel is enough for 2 people) shopping list
- 4 tbs butter shopping list
- 1 onion, sliced shopping list
- swiss cheese shopping list
- mayonnaise shopping list
- sriracha hot sauce (or similar asian sweet chili sauce) shopping list
- dash Lawry's seasoning salt shopping list
- dash of worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 bulkie rolls or sub rolls shopping list
How to make it
- prepare the mayonnaise by mixing 2 parts mayonnaise with 1 part sriracha (more if you're not a wimp)
- slice the steak very thinly and season with Lawry's, set aside
- in a large skillet, melt the butter
- add in onions and stir around until slightly translucent
- add the steak and stir until browned
- throw in some Worcestershire sauce for good measure, and taste. add more lawry's if necessary (it probably is)
- meanwhile, toast the rolls
- when the rolls are ready, layer with the steak and onions
- top with swiss cheese
- spread sriracha mayonaise on the top roll
- i like to put the sandwich back in the oven for a minute to melt the swiss cheese, but it should melt on its own from the heat of the steak anyway.
- enjoy.
