- 1 cup chopped pecans- optional shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, butter, and 2 tablespoon confectioners sugar.
- Stir together until mixture is crumbly and holds together when pressed.
- Press mixture into a deep 9" x 13" pan. Refrigerate or freeze for 20 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and remaining sugar. Beat on medium high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Spread cream cheese mixture over graham cracker crust.
- Place banana slices into a medium mixing bowl. Add lemon juice and toss to coat.
- Place bananas in an even layer over cream cheese mixture.
- Spread pineapple over bananas.
- Spread whipped topping over pineapple.
- Garnish with cherries and pecans(if using)
- Cover loosely and chill overnight.
- Dessert can be cut into squares or spooned out of pan.
- The older it gets, the better it tastes so don't worry if the bananas turn a little brown.
- Suggestion(s):
- Garnish with any fruit you like. When in season, add a layer of fresh sliced strawberries or peaches on top of (or instead of) pineapple layer.
- Save pineapple juice for another use. It makes great fruit punch.
