Apple Pancakes with Apple Pecan Syrup

- 1-1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour shopping list
- 1-1/4 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 egg well beaten shopping list
- 1 cup milk at room temperature shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter melted shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped apples shopping list
- Syrup: shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 cup maple syrup shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 cups thinly sliced peeled apples shopping list
How to make it
- Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar then sift again.
- Combine egg, milk, butter and apples and add gradually to flour mixture.
- Stir only until dry ingredients are moistened then bake on hot greased griddle.
- To make syrup melt butter then add nuts and brown lightly then remove nuts and set aside.
- Add maple syrup, cinnamon and salt to butter in saucepan then add apples and cover.
- Simmer slowly for 10 minutes then remove cover and simmer 3 minutes longer.
- Remove from heat and stir in huts then serve over pancakes while warm.
