Baked Eggs With Cheese and Basil Sauce

- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup snipped fresh basil shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- Nonstick spray coating shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 ounce white cheddar cheese shopping list
- Snipped fresh basil for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In small saucepan melt butter then stir in flour, salt, pepper and dried basil.
- Add milk all at once then cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
- Cook and stir 1 minute more then remove from heat and stir in fresh basil.
- Spray four individual baking dishes with nonstick coating.
- Spoon 2 tablespoons basil sauce into each dish then break an egg into center of each dish.
- Season with salt and pepper then spoon remaining sauce over eggs and bake 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese and let stand until cheese melts then garnish with basil and serve.
