How to make it

  • In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, tequila, and triple sec. Heat through to dissolve sugar. Let cool slightly.
  • Slice watermelon into 1 inch thick wedges.
  • Pour syrup over wedges.
  • Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
  • When ready to serve, remove melon from syrup and arrange on a platter.
  • Squeeze lime over melon and season with salt.
