How to make it

  • Combine sugar, salt, cream, milk, corn syrup and butter in a large heavy saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture comes to boiling.
  • Continue cooking stirring occasionally until candy thermometer reaches soft ball stage.
  • Remove from heat leaving thermometer in the saucepan then cool to 100 degrees.
  • Add vanilla then beat briskly until fudge thickens and begins to lose its gloss.
  • Stir in cherries then pour into buttered square pan and cool then cut into squares when firm.

    ive been looking for a easy yet good fudge recipe for my dad and this is it.its both easy and doesnt take long to make he will love it i give this recipe a 10
