Ingredients
  • Chives diced at least half a cup
  • walla walla onions (one about 3 inches in diameter) save the greens and dice them like you would chives, but just chop or chunk the wallas to thumb size pcs
  • one clove of fresh garlic dice it fine
  • one half cup of fried green tomato seasoning

Directions
  1. Okay get five cups water boiling.......then reduce it to medium heat
  2. dont add salt.......
  3. add the chopped wallas and garlic ...cook for about seven minutes...the onions get soft and fall apart...you want to add salt but dont....
  4. then add the greens from the chives and wallas stems.....turn the pot to low and do not cover......let this simmer for about fifty minutes....all the greens tend to float....no worries...still no salt...
  5. then add the dry mix to thicken....just get it the way you like.......heat for about ten minutes.....your house is going to smell amazingly good.........the dry mix has enough sodium ............
  6. if you have some dried unbuttered toast for dipping......its a lip smacker....
