How to make it

  • Beat all cake ingredients at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Mix filling ingredients together.
  • Pour 1/3 of the batter into a 10 inch tube pan (Bundt or angel food pan). Sprinkle with half of the sugar/nut mixture. Repeat the layers and top with the remaining batter.
  • Bake at 350F for 50 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched.
  • Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.

    I switched and used pineapple cake mix and omitted the almond extract and it was fantastic. The combination of pineapple, pistachio pudding & cinnamon nut mixture is heavenly! I always get rave reviews when I bring this one to a church potluck. The batter is very thick, but worth the extra effort.
