Halibut With Pasta In A Tomatoe Sauce -john Style

- halibut ( you can use chilean sea bass- or sea bass ) shopping list
- 2 (10-ounce) halibut fillet, shopping list
- salt and freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus 2 tablespoons shopping list
- 1 medium sized shallot, minced shopping list
- dash teaspoon red pepper flakes shopping list
- 3 tlsp flat-leaf Italian parsley, cleaned, stems removed, and chopped shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed and finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 1 (28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, crush with fingers shopping list
- 2 tlsp rinsed capers shopping list
- 1/2 cup pitted kalamata or green olives, smashed shopping list
- i med potatoe cut into small cubes and 2 slices of lemon cut in half shopping list
- I make it with pasta-( penne- or – rigatoni ) shopping list
How to make it
- Salt and pepper the halibut. Place 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a medium-sized, non-stick pan. When oil is shimmering, place the halibut, skin-side down, in pan. Cook on both sides for 2 minutes or to desirable color. Place halibut aside. In a medium-sized saute pan over medium heat, add remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once it is hot, add the potatoes cook till almost done al dente,then add the shallots, red pepper flakes, and parsley, and saute for 2 minutes. Then add the garlic cloves, and cook another minute. Deglaze pan with 1/2 cup of the white wine and add tomatoes, capers, olives, Cook on low heat for 20 min- Start your pasta pot bring to a boil and cook pasta - as pasta is cooking add fish to the pan and sliced lemon, . continue cooking till pasta is done add pasta to the pot and stir, serve hot
