How to make it

  • Beat butter at medium speed of an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition.
  • Combine flour and next 4 ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix at low speed after each addition until blended. Stir in vanilla and remaining ingredients. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 7 1/2 x 3 x 2 inch loafpans.
  • Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks 10 minutes; remove from pans, and let cool completely on wire racks. Yield: 2 loaves.

    Sounds so darn good will try this when I cook for the people at my Church. Have no one else to try it on...husband won't eat it and without children other than putting it in my neighbors' rural mailbox...etc, etc! Can't wait to try it though.
