Chai Chocolate Almond Biscotti

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter @ room temperature shopping list
- 3/4 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp ginger shopping list
- 1/2 tsp each: ground cardamom, cinnamon & salt shopping list
- 1 cup slivered almonds. shopping list
How to make it
- Pre heat oven to 350*F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat butter with sugars until pale and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well.
- Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder spices and salt.
- Stir flour mixture into butter mixture until blended. Stir in almonds.
- Shape dough into 2 logs and flatten slightly. Bake 40mins.
- Remove and cut on bias and reduce heat to 325*F and return to oven for 15mins.
