Ingredients

1 small can tomato paste

1/3 cup cider vinegar

1 stick butter

20 ounces or so of regular old catsup

1 1/4 cup light brown sugar

1 cup water

Directions

mix everything in a saucepan

bring to a boil

reduce heat and let it just barely roll in a simmer.

after 20, 30 minutes it is done. For a thicker sauce use reduce the water but trust me, stick to the recipe the first time. You can add red pepper flakes, hot sauce, various seasonings and spices and even liquid smoke for a hint of hickory. this works great in a crockpot on pork, beef and meatloafs Works great in electric skillets with the food slow cooking in the sauce. It works great on baked potatoes as a dip and even great for burgers istead of catsup.
