Pear Cinnamon Bread

- 1 cup butter softened shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups fresh pears peeled and chopped shopping list
- Crumb ingredients: shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter chilled shopping list
How to make it
- Place butter and sugar in blender and process until well combined.
- In another bowl dissolve soda in lemon juice then mix in eggs and vanilla.
- Beat butter mixture and egg mixture together then gently add flour and salt.
- Fold in pears then set aside.
- Mix crumb ingredients cutting in butter with pastry blender until mix resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spoon 1/2 of the batter into greased loaf pan then sprinkle with 1/2 crumb mixture.
- Gently spoon in remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.
- Press crumbs gently into surface of batter then bake at 375 for 75 minutes.
- Cool 5 minutes in pan then remove bread from pan and cool completely on cooling rack.
