Bourbon Street Chocolate Pecan Pie Recipe
This is a very rich pie that is especially good during the holiday season. I got this recipe several years ago from a Church friend who made these for our holiday potlucks. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecans broken
  • 1 pie shell uncooked
  • 5 ounces milk chocolate

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine corn syrup, eggs and melted butter then whisk briskly.
  3. Add brown sugar and mix well then stir in vanilla, salt and pecans.
  4. Pour mixture into pie shell and drop in the chocolate pieces.
  5. Wrap edge of the pie with foil to help keep the crust from over browning and drying out.
  6. Place pie on a small sheet pan and put it into the hot oven one hour.
  7. Serve at room temperature with your favorite ice cream.
