How to make it

  • you want to cut you fish fillets into 4 pieces, so the first cut should slice the fillet into 2 thin pieces then slices the 2 pieces again to make 2 thinned pieces- hence sticks
  • mix the self raising flour, cornstarch, salt and water to form a nice and thick batter, it should be the consistency of cake batter.
  • dip your fish sticks into the batter and deep fry in hot oil till the batter is crispy and golden brown
  • drain on paper towels
  • heat up the marinara or alfredo sauce
  • drizzle the warm sauce over the fish sticks and garnish with the parsley
