How to make it

  • Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a frying pan or wok.
  • Add semolina and fry on medium heat until golden in colour and it gives out an aroma of roasting semolina.
  • Remove from the pan and keep aside.
  • Combine remaining ghee,sugar and water in the same pan and cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved.If using food color,add along with water.
  • Add cardamom and 3/4th of the nuts;cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add semolina and cook for 2-3 minutes,stirring frequently(make sure there are no lumps).
  • When the mixture becomes thick and begins to come off the pan,take it out in a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with remaining nuts.Serve hot.
