How to make it

  • Sauté onion in oil in a medium saucepan over medium low heat until tender about 5 minutes.
  • Add rice then cook 1 minute and stir in broth, currants, turmeric, cinnamon and salt.
  • Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cover then simmer 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat then let stand covered for 5 minutes and stir in parsley.
