How to make it

  • Quarter plums, removing the seeds, and poke a whole thru skin starting at the seed pit( I use a skewer) widen the hole in order to fit cinnimon sticks thru. I usually use 2 plum quarters per stick sandwiching the lemon peel.
  • In a hot skillet bring wine, sugar, slurry mix and zest to a boil wisking untill syrupy. this makes enough for 6-8 servings
  • Place plums directly on clean grill grate (tongs work best) and apply sauce, grill until sauce is carmolized, like a candy apple or plums are squeezable. I like to cook them at 250 or while grill is cooling 10-15 mins
  • You can use the left over sauce for dipping or apply more on the plate.
