Grilled plums w wine sauce

- plums shopping list
- cinnimon sticks shopping list
- lemon zest/peel (about an inch long) shopping list
- optional: 1cup merlot shopping list
- lemon zest shopping list
- 1/2cup sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup lemon juice and corn starch slurrey or mix shopping list
How to make it
- Quarter plums, removing the seeds, and poke a whole thru skin starting at the seed pit( I use a skewer) widen the hole in order to fit cinnimon sticks thru. I usually use 2 plum quarters per stick sandwiching the lemon peel.
- In a hot skillet bring wine, sugar, slurry mix and zest to a boil wisking untill syrupy. this makes enough for 6-8 servings
- Place plums directly on clean grill grate (tongs work best) and apply sauce, grill until sauce is carmolized, like a candy apple or plums are squeezable. I like to cook them at 250 or while grill is cooling 10-15 mins
- You can use the left over sauce for dipping or apply more on the plate.
