Ingredients
  • pita bread (or a tortilla if you don't have pita)
  • tomato sauce (pizza sauce, pasta sauce, tomato paste, whatever you have handy)
  • pesto (optional)
  • shredded cheese
  • basil or pizza seasoning
  • *Fun with other toppings, too...feel free to experiment!

Directions
  1. On a piece of pita bread (or a tortilla if you don’t have any pita bread on hand) put some pasta sauce (and some pesto if you have it, just make sure you don’t over-do it on the pesto, it’s really strong) and sprinkle with cheese and basil or pizza seasoning. Heat up a skillet on the stove on really hot. In the meantime, put your pizza in the microwave until the cheese starts to melt (you might want to cover it in some way, some pasta sauces tend to explode in the microwave. Once it’s melted, take out the pizza and put it immediately on the skillet. This is just so it gets a little crispy so it’s more like a real pizza. check the bottom with a spatula to make sure it doesn’t burn too much, and take it off when it’s ready. Let it cool so it’s not nuclear hot and enjoy! You can cut it up with a pizza cutter if you want, or you can just eat it.
  2. Serve with a salad for a meal, or just eat it on its own as a snack.
