Butterscotch Sauce Recipe
This is a great topper for those plain and ordinary desserts or even a way to sweeten your coffees.

Ingredients
  • 1 dash of salt
  • 1 c of firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tspn of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 c of light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 tspn of vanilla
  • 1/4 c of butter
  • 1/2 c of heavy cream

Directions
  1. Put one of your small saucepans over medium heat and then your going to want to start adding a dash of salt, butter, corn syrup and sugar.
  2. Keep stiring til the sugar id dissolved.
  3. Get your candy themometer and let the syrup boil till is says 280 F, about 5 minutes.
  4. Take your sauce pan off the heat and start stirrin in the salt, heavy cream, vanilla and lemon juice.
  5. Keep stirring it until sauce is smooth, don't worry the sauce will thicken as it cools.
  6. If you don't use right away thats oky it will bee fine in the fride for up to 3 weeks.
  7. Use when at room temp or warm.
