  • 1/2 cup scraped coconut
  • 1/4 cup jaggery broken doen into little pieces
  • 1 pinch cardomom powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp sunflower oil
  • water for kneading

Directions
  1. Knead wheat flour adding little water, salt & oil.
  2. The dough should be soft.
  3. In a non-stick pan roast scraped/grated coconut on low flame for 2 minutes.
  4. Add jaggery ,keep stirring with wooden spatula till jagerry melts & mixture becomes thick.
  5. Remove from fire & let mixture cool.
  6. Divide dough into 8-10 small balls.
  7. Roll out dough into small circles just enough to stuff mixture balls.
  8. Hold rolled circle in palm.Taking each round, press the edges with your thumb and first two fingers, working around the circle. On one side of the round, place a tablespoonful of the coconut jaggery mixture, then fold over and press the edges together, making sure they are well sealed. Alternatively, hold the round in one hand, and with your thumb and forefinger gather the edges into a pleat at the top and seal.
  9. 4. Fill a small steamer with water. Bring the water to a boil. Brush little oil at base of each dumpling so they do not stick.Place the dumplings on the steamer rack.Leave little space between them. Steam for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove and cool.
