Alfredo sauce for "white" pizza

OK...Nemo, I've though of another use for "What-North America-Thought-The-Italians-Invented" Alfredo sauce...

I just had lunch with my daughter -- it's a "snow-day", which means that it's snowing so much outside that school buses have been cancelled, and over half the teachers could not make it into work.....Soooooo.....the children are staying home....

Everything outside is now covered in snow; white cars, white windows, white grass...white trees, white EVERYTHING!

So, we are having "White" pizza for lunch.

Thin pizza crust, covered in Alfredo sauce, with proscuitto slices and roasted cipolline onions, Gorgonzola cheese, a bit of grated Fontina cheese... YUM! Smokey-salty-cheesey-sweet-roasted-onions....tangy Gorgonzola...And, a bit of cracked black pepper over the top as soon as it came out of the oven!

The recipe is basically what I've said; use your favourite crust recipe......and, the recipe credits Lombardia for this creation :)

And, with all those calories, my daughter & I are going out to shovel the driveway....
