Why the Roll Matters

Sickfoot's Aspect is a good example. It gives Movement Speed and Damage over Time Speed for each nearby enemy affected by your damage-over-time effects, with a maximum of 25 stacks. The bonus can roll from 1.0% to 1.5% per stack. That gap sounds small on paper, but it adds up quickly in a crowded dungeon. At the top roll, 25 stacks provide 37.5% from the Aspect alone. Players running bleed, poison, or another damage-over-time setup will feel the difference, especially when enemies stay grouped.

What to Keep and What to Salvage

A Legendary drop does not need to stay equipped to remain useful. If it carries a stronger version of an Aspect, take it to the Blacksmith and salvage it. The item will be destroyed, but its best recorded value will be saved in the Codex of Power. The Codex keeps the highest roll you have unlocked for that Aspect, so there is no reason to fill every stash tab with spare copies. Once a better roll is found, salvage it and let the Codex replace the weaker version.

Imprinting Without Wasting a Good Base

The Occultist handles the next step. Bring a well-rolled Rare item or an existing Legendary, then choose an Aspect from the Codex. The item keeps its regular affixes while gaining the selected power. Pay attention to the category before spending materials. A Mobility Aspect such as Sickfoot's Aspect normally belongs on Boots or an Amulet, so it cannot be placed wherever you like. It is also worth checking the base item first; imprinting a great Aspect onto poor stats can be an expensive mistake.

Build Around the Effect

Good progression is less about wearing every Legendary you find and more about building a reliable upgrade loop. Hunt for better Aspect rolls, salvage duplicates, and wait for a strong item base before imprinting. Test the effect in real combat rather than trusting the character sheet alone. Dense events and nightmare dungeons reveal whether the stacks stay active.
