Like the avatar, Laurie. We ended up doing pizza (made at home from frozen) last night because DH said he refused to have turkey again! So, guess what we're having tonight??? Yup ... the turkey pot pie I'd planned for last night. Our tree should go up by tomorrow hopefully or we'll not get it up until next weekend w/ our crazy schedules! The menu for the month is half way done ... yea!

My weekend was great we went over the In-laws and had a great time catching up with friends and family.
I also go to go see the Nutcracker which was wonderful.
It will be my turn to host the Christmas Eve dinner for almost 50 people.
I have a bunch of new recipe to try this year along with the standard Italian favorites requested by everyone.
Lauri love the photos that turkey pot pie sounds like a great way to use left over turkey.

PK I would like to see your menu too.
    Have a nice week everyone.

Trigger 50 people you must have a big kitchen :)..
I am doing Christmas Day for about 2o people. I come from a Jewish family and my husband is Italian so we will have Kougle and ham :). Just kidding I am making a turkey and I am going to do a ham. I found an awesome crock pot recipe so it doesn't have to take up the oven my family are not apposed to it they just won't eat it. but my kids and husband and SIL family do like it.
Christmas eve we just take it easy and order Chinese. When my mother in law lived in Massachusetts she did a big Christmas eve with the all the seafood. My favorite was the fried smelts. Ooh so good, but when I was in Sicily they are so much better. MIL said it is because the water is saltier there. I don't know how true that is.

Ok, I've tried twice to add my Dec menu as a separate topic but it's not showing up ... grrr. I tried yesterday and just now but neither time has it shown up. I'm signed in but nothing posts. Could it be that it's too long of a post? Laurie, you've seen my menu ... what do you think? Too long to make into a new topic here?

try putting December menu as the topic of the new thread, with just a few lines. and then once that posts add the rest as a reply.
OR put it in as a recipe and put 1-15 as the ingredients and 15-30 as the directions :)..

I've tried putting "My December Menu" as the topic and "December Menu" as well. Will try a 3rd time in just a few and will put it in parts. If it doesn't work then "fooey on big people" and I'll send it privately to those who ask for it. Sometimes technology sucks ... ugh!
