With Laurie's approval, I just posted a really tasty low fat recipe that I just created tonight! Its called Sauteed Chicken in a White Wine Cream Sauce Over Linguini. The recipe states to use half n' half...so use the fat free variety.

I checked it out lillian it looks good, you can make it lower fat by using reduced fat grated cheese and I cannot believe its not butter light margarine.

    Oh yes...even better! Thanks Laurie!

You could also use 'Dreamfield' pasta if you want to add some fiber and cut down on the carbs! You can't even notice that its a wheat pasta at all! I tested it on my kids, without telling them, and they didn't say a word! And believe me... they have very sensitive palates! They notice everything!!! I tried the same thing with the Barilla wheat pasta and they knew right away!

I made 'Homemade Microwave Popcorn' by 10gallonhat (just posted here)..Its so cool because you make it in a paper lunch bag! You just add the kernels with a little olive oil and salt or whatever seasonings you want and then you nuke it! Great way to control the salt and oil! I made some with hot sauce...I also made some with grated Parmesan cheese! There are sooo many variations!

    Lowfat!...How about NOFAT!!!

I just discovered a new way to have cornflakes in the morning that cures my chocolate craving... is sweet...creamy...crunchy...and NONFAT!!!!

Take a bowl of cornflakes (unfrosted kind), sprinkle with 1 tbls cocoa powder and 1 packet of Splenda (artificial sweetener)...then pour fat free half n' half over it and enjoy!

I think this is going to be my breakfast, every morning, for a very long time!

I don't know if I would like the fat free half and half, I think too much would give a tummy ache because it is so rich. But it does sound good!! Maybe I will try it with some skim milk. Thanks for sharing Lillian.

I wish I could drink skim milk...its just too watery for me! But now you have me thinking about the fat free half n' half...I wonder if too much of it is bad for you! It just seems too good to be true! I'll have to look it up on the internet to see what I find! I wish it wasn't soooo expensive! I buy it in half gallons and it costs $6!!!

Okay...I just googled it and there is a lot of info on this subject! It seems like a lot of people are wondering about this stuff! Its very safe...basically fat free half n' half is just thickened skim milk. So I guess its okay to ingest in large quantities...like I've been doing lately!!!

Lillian have you tried the Simply Smart milk, or Over the Moon milk, it is skim milk that tastes like 2% and the 2% tastes like whole milk. I just got used to the taste of skim milk. I was buying a small skim for myself and 2% for the kids but they kept drinking the skim so now I just buy a gallon of the skim they say they like it better. but my kids are odd they like the low fat margerine better than the full fat butter.
