Thank God for Filipino Supermarkets in America

  I've been here in America more than 20 years. One thing I've never lost is the craving for authentic Filipino food. Somehow, sadly, many Filipino dishes don't really taste the same as the "back home" version.
  
  (Doesn't Max's friend chicken taste so much better at their original restaurant in the Timog Avenue area?)
  
  In the meantime, let's enjoy what we can...please share your recipes, tips on buying and using ingredients, and recommended Pinoy restaurants.
